Vienna Workshop on Sustainable Development

About

Established in 2011, the Vienna Workshop on Sustainable Development (VWSD) is a student-led initiative to bring together PhD and Doctoral students working in sustainability research from universities in Vienna, Austria.  Held in the fall of the year, the VWSD welcomes participants at any stage of their dissertation research. The workshop is designed to foster peer-to-peer, interdisciplinary exchange across all dimensions of sustainability.

Past participants have represented a wide range of disciplines including architecture, urban planning, business, economics, agriculture, natural resource management, biotechnology, and political science. Research presentations and discussions address the environmental, social, economic, and institutional aspects of sustainability, as well as the challenges of sustainability research.

The 2015 edition of VWSD is hosted by MODUL University Vienna and will take place on Wednesday, November 25, 2015, at MU Vienna campus.
